Every summer, The Peach Truck rolls into Central Ohio loaded with tree-ripened peaches straight from Georgia orchards, and it parks at spots all over the city for just a few hours at a time. Miss your stop and you are waiting until next week (or driving across town chasing a truck, which is never a good look).
We pulled together every confirmed Columbus-area Peach Truck stop we could find, plus the farmers markets where you can grab peaches even when the truck is not in town. Bookmark this one.
Why Everyone is Obsessed with The Peach Truck
The Peach Truck sources its peaches from family farms in Georgia and hand-picks them close to peak ripeness before delivering them within days. That is the whole appeal. Grocery store peaches get picked early so they survive shipping. These get picked when they are actually ready, which means real peach flavor instead of a mealy disappointment.
A few things to know before you go:
- You have to reserve ahead. Peaches must be reserved in advance, and walk-up availability is not guaranteed because supply is limited. Reserve online at thepeachtruck.com before your pickup date.
- Box sizes and pricing. The 12-pound box runs about $40 and holds roughly 30 to 35 peaches, while the 25-pound box runs about $55 and holds roughly 55 to 60 peaches. You can even get home delivery if you don’t feel like venturing out!
- Bring your confirmation. Show up with your confirmation email or QR code and the team hands you your box on the spot.
Confirmed Peach Truck Stops Around Columbus
The regulars (same spot, every week, all season):
- Budd Dairy Food Hall – Wednesday through Sunday, May 27 through August 9. Wednesdays run 4 to 9 p.m., and Thursday through Sunday it’s 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. This is a walk-up market, so no preorder needed.
- Franklin Park Conservatory Farmers Market – every Wednesday, June 3 through July 29, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Also walk-up, no preorder.
- Grandview Heights Farmers Market – every Sunday, May 31 through August 8 (skipping July 5).
- German Village-area Saturday market (555 S. 3rd St.) – every Saturday, June 6 through August 8, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The one-off dates (mark your calendar, these do not repeat weekly):
- Lennox Town Center – June 4, June 26, and July 28
- Purple Door Church in Grove City – June 4, July 7, and July 28
- Stoneridge Plaza in Gahanna – June 11, July 8, and July 21
Since the truck adds and shuffles stops throughout the season, your best bet is to punch in your ZIP code on The Peach Truck’s Ohio pickup page and reserve the date closest to you. Peach season generally runs from late May through August, so there is still time to catch one of the regular weekly stops.
Local Farmers Markets Selling Peaches (Peach Truck or Not)
Even outside of a scheduled Peach Truck stop, plenty of Central Ohio farmers markets carry peaches all season long. A few reliable ones to check:
- Clintonville Farmers Market – Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon, at North High Street and West Dunedin Road
- German Village Farmers Market – Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 588 S. Third St.
- Dublin Market at Bridge Park – Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon, at 6741 Longshore St.
- Worthington Farmers Market – Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon, at The Shops at Worthington Place
- Bexley Farmers Market – Thursdays, 4 to 7 p.m., at E. Main and Dawson Ave.
- Upper Arlington Farmers Market – Wednesdays, 3 to 6 p.m., in front of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church
- Grove City Farmers Market – Saturdays through mid-September, known for stocking peaches alongside sweet corn and homemade jellies
These markets run on their own schedules independent of The Peach Truck’s tour, so they are a solid backup plan if you miss a truck date or just want to grab a smaller amount without committing to a full box.
How to Not Miss Out
Georgia peach season is short, and boxes sell out. If you are serious about getting your hands on the good stuff:
- Reserve early. Do not wait until the week of your pickup. Popular stops like the German Village Saturday Market and Grandview Heights Farmers Market sell out fast.
- Sign up for Peach Truck email alerts. They announce new stops and preorder windows before they hit social media.
- Have a backup market in mind. If your Peach Truck date is sold out, a Saturday farmers market run can still get you fresh peaches.
- Go big if you bake. If you are making cobbler, jam, or canning for later, the 25-pound box or Tour Special stretches a lot further than buying a handful at a time.
