Pizza is pretty easy to find in Columbus. But pizza with a story? That’s a little harder. Heads up: GoreMade Pizza may just have the best pizza origin story in Columbus.
It all started with Pizza Sunday.
The owners’ friends would gather at their house as homemade pizzas flew out of the oven. Before long, a couple of people turned into a house full of hungry pizza lovers.
The solution? Everyone brought toppings. That meant every Pizza Sunday looked a little different. The ever-changing combinations set the foundation for what GoreMade would become.

Eventually, they got a mobile wood-fired oven and started slinging pizzas out of the back of their Subaru. After five years of catering and farmer’s markets, GoreMade finally found a permanent home in Italian Village.
Ten years later and they’re still putting those local relationships to work. That means pies topped with seasonal produce. Strong ties to the community. And a place with a patio that feels like hanging out in your best friend’s backyard.
One of the best ways to see GoreMade’s philosophy in action is through their Pizza of the Month. It changes throughout the year based on what’s fresh locally.

For September, the Merry Margherita is taking center stage.
This handmade creation consists of hand stretched Mozzarella from Black Radish Creamery,
marinated heirloom tomatoes and fresh basil from Three Creeks Produce, and single origin olive oil. The result? A pizza that is simple, yet elegant and full of flavor— basically Ohio summer in pizza form.

And if you’re wondering what’s going into your food, you don’t need to. GoreMade has an open kitchen, so you can see the pizzas being made right in front of you. It’s a small detail that says a lot about the trust they’ve built with their customers over the past decade.

To celebrate their 10-year anniversary, they’re throwing a Christmas-themed party on September 30th. Is there a better way to celebrate good cheer than with Christmas-y pizza?
The party will include an informal gift exchange for anyone interested in participating. Simply bring an unwrapped gift, place it on the gift altar, and take a gift if it calls to you. That’s it. Continuing the merriment, there will be egg nog and Christmas records to set the vibe. It’s like a big hug to the Ohio community. Because after 10 years, GoreMade isn’t just celebrating how long they’ve been making pizza. They’re celebrating the farmers, neighbors, friends, and families who helped make those 10 years possible. If you ask us, that’s a pretty good reason to come order a slice.
We know where you’ll be on September 30th! Start picking out your pizza topping here!
