Just a few days ago, national music and entertainment magazine Paste Magazine published a raving review of our fair city.
Of course, as Columbus residents, we are becoming increasingly used to all the great press that the 614 receives (and that only seems to be happening more and more frequently), but it still feels nice to be loved!
And after reading Garrett Martin’s article in Paste Magazine, it sounds like that’s how Columbus made him feel: loved.
To quote him directly, he said, “Columbus is waiting to wrap its arms around you in a warm, massive, unbreakable hug. It squeezed me tight and I thank Columbus for that from the bottom of my heart.” Daaaaaang!
That’s some high praise right there!
Garrett then went on to talk readers through all the best things to do, the best places to eat, and where to stay, and we think his assessment was pretty on point. Sure, he mentions obvious choices like the Short North, CoSi, Land-Grant, and other popular spots, but honestly… all of those places are popular for a reason. They freakin’ rock!
Also mentioned were more off-the-beaten-path places, including dive bars like Char Bar, delicious restaurants like Rishi, and food halls like Budd Dairy.
Sounds like we made another Columbus-lover out of Paste Magazine. We can’t wait for them to come back for round two! We’ll have our warm, massive, and unbreakable hugs waiting upon their arrival.
