The Gospel Soul Series, hosted by Debra James Tucker, continues with Shelby, who takes the stage with a powerful blend of original songs and classic gospel favorites, all backed by a live band that brings every lyric to life! Get ready for a night filled with soul, sound, and the spirit of gospel music! From joyful praise to those deep, heart-stirring moments, this concert is all about faith, freedom, and music that lifts the soul. Bring YOUR TAMBOURINES!

Shelby is a gospel artist, worship leader, and songwriter from Columbus, Ohio whose voice and message reflect both passion and purpose. His mission is simple yet powerful—to share the heart of God through authentic, soul-stirring music that inspires faith and love.

Rooted in gospel tradition but influenced by the soulful sounds of artists like Daryl Coley, LaShun Pace, and Kim Burrell, Shelby delivers a timeless sound with a modern edge. His music resonates across generations, blending heartfelt worship with the richness of R&B and jazz tones.

A member of One Church Music under the leadership of Pastor Greg Ford, Shelby made his debut with The Best Is Yet to Come, followed by The Live Experience, Vol. 1. Both projects showcase his ability to marry musical excellence with spiritual depth.

Armed with authenticity and a deep love for God, Shelby continues to create music that uplifts and reminds listeners of the beauty and necessity of God in everyday life. His artistry stands as a bridge—connecting generations, uniting genres, and pointing hearts back to the Creator.

This monthly series is hosted and coordinated by Debra James Tucker, who has received extensive training in jazz, classical and gospel music. She is the writer/performer of the one woman show Survival of the Boulevard Singer—winner of an Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence, has been visiting instructor at Denison University in the history of African American Gospel Music, and an artist in residence with several youth arts organizations.

Food & Bar: Our full food and drink menu will be available before and during the show.
