The Ladies of Longford return to Natalie’s stage to celebrate their 25th Anniversary for a show not to be missed! This talented group serves up a unique blend of contemporary Celtic, Traditional Irish and fresh acoustic styles. Celebrating over ten years of their special brand of Celtic music, the Ladies of Longford serve up a unique blend of both contemporary and traditional styles. They are most often defined by their superb vocal harmonies and excellent musicianship. From the living rooms and back yards of intimate house concerts to the huge sound stages of renowned festivals, they share their inspired gifts of melody and performance to a vast range of fans.
The Ladies of Longford have played at a number of the top Celtic Festivals in the nation, including the Milwaukee Irish Festival, Dublin Irish Festival, and The Irish Fest Chicago. They have shared the stage with Celtic Women greats…Cherish the Ladies, Cathie Ryan, Eileen Ivers and Aoife Clancy.
Hilda Doyle, bandleader Of LOL, defies any easy pigeonhole, and her background is varied and fully encompasses a number of genres including Bluegrass, Celtic, Folk, Jazz and Country. She is a versatile and diverse musician, adept at guitar, banjo and mandolin.
Elizabeth Blickenstaff has had a violin in her hand since the age of three, and has recorded, sung, and played on stage with several national and internationally known Irish artists.
Stephanie Doyle (bass, piano) has spent the majority of her life surrounded by music, and she continues teaching K-8 music at two local elementary schools.
Heather Doyle Fraser’s vocal style is versatile –feeling equally comfortable and at home singing Celtic, Jazz, Folk or Rock. Heather adds rhythm and exuberance to the Ladies of Longford sound as a percussionist for the group.
