If you needed a sign to switch up your next pizza run, this might be it: Sabrina Carpenter has a go-to spot in Powell, and it’s not some flashy, influencer-packed hotspot. It’s classic, local, and quietly iconic.

We’re talking about Massey’s Pizza, a place that’s been serving up pies since 1949. Even better? They just reopened last fall under new ownership, and the glow-up is real.

Everyone’s favorite pop star consistently calls it a must-stop when she’s in town visiting family. Her grandma lives near the Powell location, and she grew up going here. Casual.

But hype only gets you so far, and this place actually delivers. Massey’s leans hard into what Columbus-style pizza should be: thin, crispy crust, quality toppings, and zero shortcuts. Pro tip: get their pepperoni pizza – it’s kind of legendary. That means stacked with a very specific (and slightly wild) 151 pieces of pepperoni. Yes, someone counted. And yes, it matters.

They’ve also got stromboli, a full lineup of subs, garlic bread, and pasta dishes to round out their menu of Italian classics.

Looking to mix it up? Choose your fighter from their trio of unique new house-made sauces: Hot Dragon, Mild Dragon, and S3 (Sweet, Savory, Sauce).

And if you’re more of a “try everything” person, the weekday pizza buffet (11 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday) is doing the most. It’s all-you-can-eat, which is either a blessing or a challenge depending on your self-control.

Then there’s dessert, because of course there is. The Wafflewich (yes, that’s a waffle ice cream sandwich) drops daily from 5–10 pm. So basically, a chaotically good decision you deserve after a long day.

What really seals it, though, is the vibe. This isn’t just a grab-and-go situation (though that’s always an option). It’s a solid family dinner spot, an easy lunch pick, and even a casual date night spot.

Old-school roots, new energy, and a legit pop star stamp of approval? Yeah, Massey’s is back in a big way. So peep the menu, get hungry, and make a plan to stop in. Your new fav (or old revisited) pizza place is waiting.
