Every May, Jeni’s Strawberry Jam brings fresh Ohio strawberries in a bunch of different shapes and sizes to Columbus, and it’s quickly become one of the most anticipated festivals in the city. Not only does Hirsch Fruit Farm bring the stars of the show by the carton (ready for purchase and immediate consumption), but there are also special treats, local vendors, live music, and enough strawberry-themed food and drinks to make you smell like a fruit basket by the end of the day.
If you’re looking for one of the best Memorial Day Weekend events in Columbus, this is basically summer kickoff season in festival form.

What Is Jeni’s Strawberry Jam?
Jeni’s Strawberry Jam is a two-day festival hosted at Land-Grant Brewing Company in Columbus, Ohio. The event celebrates Ohio strawberries with special menu items, local vendors, live music, food trucks, family-friendly activities, and drinks from some of Columbus’ favorite small businesses.
The main draws are Jeni’s Strawberry Buttermilk Ice Cream and Land-Grant’s Strawberry Rhubarb Ale, but honestly, the atmosphere and vibes are what have made this festival an immediate Columbus staple.

Everything You Need To Know Before You Go
First of all… literally everything here is strawberry-themed. So if you have a reddish pink outfit, strawberry earrings, a strawberry button-up, or anything that makes you look like you lost a fight with a fruit stand, now is your time to shine.
As mentioned, the heavy hitters will all be there. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams will have their Strawberry Buttermilk Ice Cream, and Land-Grant will be pouring their Strawberry Rhubarb Ale, which is the perfect one-two punch to stay cool and “hydrated” while the Memorial Day Weekend sun melts everybody equally.
Hirsch Fruit Farm will also be there with freshly picked strawberries, which honestly taste the best when they’ve been sitting in the sun for a bit. Something about a sun-warmed strawberry straight out of a carton hits different. It’s basically nature’s candy.

And don’t miss Fox in the Snow’s Strawberry Shortcake! This thing is another staple of the Strawberry Jam, which comes topped with a scoop of Jeni’s Strawberry Ice Cream. It’s only available during the two days of the festival. So if you miss it, that’s on you.

Some featured vendors include:
- Pochettely’s Charm Bar

- Replanted’s thrifted houseplants
- And over a dozen more local vendors

Parking, Transportation, And Important Things To Know
Land-Grant asks that you leave your dogs and furry friends at home for this one. Usually, Land-Grant is dog-friendly, but this event gets way too crowded for pups to have a good time.
The 3, 6, and 9 COTA lines all stop nearby. There are also paid parking garages, metered street parking, and limited free parking available around the area.
Lyft and Uber are also solid options… especially if you’re planning on fully committing to the Land-Grant beer situation.
