Just steps from the Ohio River in Pomeroy stands the juke joint that’s been serving this community since 1933. At Court Grill, it’s no mistake that we’ve survived the generations: We’re a timeless local classic serving up hot food, cold drinks, and the kind of tunes that’ll never go out of style. Grab a brew, some wings and a fresh baked pizza pie while our lively playlist of blues, jazz, and roots croons in the background. We’re proud to be the spot in Pomeroy where old-timers and fresh faces come together and raise a glass to the good times. Cheers to 80 good years behind us and 80 more to come! Established in 1930. In the early 1900’s, the Court Street Grill started as a soda fountain inside Reed’s Drug Store. Sometime after Prohibition, the drug store left and the Grill remained. Matter of fact, the back bar of the Grill is the old apothecary cabinet from the drug store. These days, the Grill is a modern day juke joint, hosting National touring Blues artists on the weekends.
