As a family owned restaurant, our goal is to offer a friendly and enjoyable experience for all. We’ve hand selected the finest ingredients to serve fresh, flavorful and sustainable food options.

Inspired by the rich, bold and unique flavors of the Pacific Northwest, our menu features fresh, hand selected ingredients ensuring that all of our breakfast options taste delicious year round. Our goal is to serve you the finest pancakes while providing friendly and courteous service. Established in 1953. The Original Pancake House® was founded by Chef Les Highet and Erma Hueneke in 1953. This unique menu originated in Portland, Oregon and immediately gained national acclaim when in 1955 James Beard named The Original Pancake House as: “one of the top ten best in America” In 1999, during Chef Ron’s tenure, the concept won a James Beard Award in the “America’s Regional Classics” category.
These recipes, which remain unchanged to this day, demand only the finest ingredients such as 93 score butter, 36% pure whipping cream, fresh grade AA eggs, hard wheat unbleached flour, thick sliced smoked bacon and a sourdough yeast cultured in our own kitchen. This sourdough starter produces light, airy, fluffy, fine textured pancakes.

We also roast and grind The Original Pancake House coffee to our own specifications.

It is our goal to become your neighborhood breakfast restaurant of choice in Upper Arlington by providing the most delicious, fresh and tasty food in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
