Hi there lovebirds. We love a good date night and feel quite confident that we know how to make some pretty good suggestions. If you and your partner are at a loss for what to do or where to eat tonight, here’s what we’d suggest!

By the way, you will be doing some light walking at the beginning of this date – so bring some comfortable shoes.

The Franklin Park Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

1777 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43203 / more info

If you haven’t been to the Franklin Park Conservatory, we’re SO glad that you’ll get to experience it for the first time tonight. It’s the perfect way to kill some time before your dinner reservations, and more beautiful than we can even describe. You’ll be walking through greenhouses that are teeming with varying florals, climbing greenery, and stunning water features. The lush greenery and ambient water sounds are basically paid actors in setting the tone for a romantic evening. If the weather allows, you won’t want to miss the botanical gardens. Make sure to steal a few kisses and take some photos to commemorate this mystical portion of your date.

That was romantic, wasn’t it? Now let’s move on to some drinks.

The Brass Eye

77 Belle Street, Rush Alley entrance, Columbus, OH 43215 / more info

The Brass Eye is Columbus’ newest rooftop bar, and it’s already one of our all-time favorites. Situated at the very top of the new Junto Hotel next to COSI, The Brass Eye will whisk you and your beau into a state of awe. The sight of the city all lit up is truly breathtaking, but we’ll let the view do the rest of the talking. If you sit out on the rooftop patio, you’ll see that there is a gorgeous tiled fireplace with conversation-style seating, as well as more intimate seating under the covered portion of the patio. One of many great features about The Brass Eye is their indoor-outdoor bar. If you can’t get a table out on the rooftop, the inside of the bar is no letdown. With cozy seating and a dimly lit setting, you’re set to experience all the date night feels 😉

We strongly suggest ordering the Deviled Eggs, the Summer Corn + Burrata Toast, and the Crispy Chicken Schnitzel – but you can’t go wrong with anything from their menu. If you want to try a fun and vibrant cocktail, you’ve must try the Bramblin Man!
