Bedazzled Book Club

Looking for a fun, bookish night out with you friends? Interested in meeting new people while making a craft? Join us on Thursday, March 26th from 6-8pm at North Market Bridge Park in Dublin, Ohio for our new, in-person book club! We will be bedazzling How to Kill a Guy in Ten Dates by Shailee Thompson (discussion questions will be provided!). Your ticket includes a copy of our book club pick (shipped to you before the event) and one book bedazzling kit to complete the cover.

Bedazzled Book Club FAQs:

• What is included in the Bedazzled Book Club ticket?
  • Your ticket includes one of our book bedazzling kits with all of the needed supplies and the drill beads needed to bedazzle the cover of How to Kill a Guy in Ten Dates. Additionally, this ticket also includes a physical copy of the book shipped to you in advance of the event.
• What is included in BYOB Ticket?
  • Your ticket includes one of our book bedazzling kits with all of the needed supplies and 6 bags of drill beads to decorate your book cover with. Additional bags will be available for purchase at the event if desired. You MUST provide your own book. Hannah will walk you through each step to create a bedazzled book cover of your own!
• Who can come to this workshop?
  • Everyone is welcome at our bedazzled book club! However, please note that the drill beads that we use to bedazzle books are very small, and the books we choose are for adults, so this is not an event that is recommended for children.
• What do I need to bring to this workshop?
  • All you need to bring to this workshop is your copy of How to Kill a Guy in Ten Dates (for our Bedazzled Book Club Ticket) or your chosen book (for our BYOB Ticket). Hannah will provide you with the rest of the supplies.
• For the BYOB Ticket, how do I choose a book to bedazzle?
  • Please look at our pictures on this page that provide tips for choosing a good book cover to bedazzle. Ultimately, choose whatever book makes you happy! If you have any further questions, Hannah will be happy to assist you via email at novelsandneedles@gmail.com.
• How do the drill beads stay on the book?
  • We use a double-sided adhesive sheet that attaches to both the drill beads and the book covers- this means that you do not need to glue each drill bead individually to the cover, which speeds up the process and makes it more fun! Plus, this makes it easier for you to safely transport your project home.
• Do I need to read the book before coming to the event?
  • If you would like to discuss the book with other book club members using the provided discussion questions, we recommend that you read the book in advance, but it is not necessary! If you would like to relax and enjoy bedazzling the book with plans to read it later, that is completely fine! We are a judgement-free zone!
• I am not artistic or creative. Can I bedazzle a book?
  • Of course! The clear adhesive sheet we use lets you stick the drill beads directly onto the design of the book cover, meaning that you trace the design that is already on your book.\
