Bobby Floyd and Tony Monaco take the stage at Natalie’s for a rare and very special program: Masters of the B3! They will both be performing on classic Hammond B3 organs and accompanied by Derek DiCenzo on guitar and bass, and Reggie Jackson on drums. Floyd, a Grammy nominee in 2020, has performed extensively in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Japan. Touring events include major jazz festivals, concert halls, and numerous night clubs with Ray Charles, Jeff Tyzik, The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra, Dr. John and Byron Stripling.
When Tony Monaco was twelve, his destiny as a jazz organist was sealed when he first heard Jimmy Smith. In 2000, he released the critically acclaimed “Burnin Grooves”, and the international success of the recording served as the catalyst for national and international tours as leader. Tony has released 13 international projects and countless others as a guest artist including the likes of greats like Pat Martino, Harvey Mason, Fathead Newman and Steve Smith! He has toured worldwide with Pat Martino, Steve Smith and Harvey Mason. Tony’s Chicken Coup Records label has released several releases of Tony’s and countless others! An ardent student of the Hammond B-3 organ, Tony continues his mission to teach students worldwide online and raise awareness and appreciation of jazz organ and its importance in genres as diverse as traditional Gospel, R&B and Modern Jazz.
