Curious about natural dyes but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect introduction to the vibrant world of botanical color. Students will be guided through the process of bundle dying by local artist Pam O’Dea. Bundle Dying is a simple hands-on technique where flowers, leaves and natural dye powders are layered into fabric, wrapped, and steamed to create a stunning one-of-a-kind pattern.
In this class, you’ll work with richly hued plant-based dyes like logwood (deep purples), brazilwood (bright pinks), and hibiscus (rich reds), and leave with your own naturally dyed silk scarf to take home.
No experience needed, all materials are provided, and you’ll leave with the confidence to keep experimenting on your own!
