Soul Sunday, hosted by Debra James Tucker continues with Jennifer Price, known for her sultry, warm voice and a vocal range that effortlessly traverses genres— Price commands every stage she steps onto. Her style fuses R&B, gospel, and jazz while delivering powerhouse performances until the final note.

Price is a classically trained vocalist with an active three-octave range. She studied music and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Capital University. Her versatility captivates diverse audiences as she explores multiple musical genres, intertwining soulful elements into every style she sings, such as adult contemporary and jazz. She is also a prolific songwriter, with over 100 songs to her credit covering genres such as R&B, pop, and gospel.

She performed background vocals on an album by national recording artist Miki Howard, entitled, Love Confessions. During the mid-80s, she toured the U.S. with Howard, performing background vocals for her on the iconic show Soul Train. Working with Howard provided a significant platform, leading to performances that expanded her professional reach. Jennifer’s artistry has resonated with diverse cultures, including international performances in 11 countries, such as France, Italy, and Germany, during a gospel tour.

Currently, Jennifer is writing, recording and producing original songs. She continues to perform as a freelance musician around Central Ohio, creating a beautiful tapestry of music that intricately weaves together styles from R&B to jazz for all to enjoy. She’s Price-less!

The unique sound of vocalist Debra James Tucker is a product of extensive training in jazz, classical and gospel music. Her new album is “Voices”, which continues her exploration of early black church forms in contemporary contexts. She is the writer/performer of the one woman show Survival of the Boulevard Singer—winner of an Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence, has been a visiting instructor at Denison University in the history of African American Gospel Music, and an artist in residence with several youth arts organizations.

Food & Bar: Our full food and drink menu will be available before and during the show–our kitchen will be closing at 9pm for this event.
