This captivating concert features the world premiere of Jeffrey Mumford’s new double concerto for violin and cello, a stunning fusion of rich textures, innovative harmonies, and intricate dialogue between the orchestra and soloists Lauren Cauley, violin, and Mariel Roberts Musa, cello. The program culminates with Mahler’s monumental Symphony No. 1 (“Titan”), a work that takes listeners on a journey through expansive soundscapes of emotion, from robust triumph to serene reflection.

Enjoy a free pre-concert talk at 6:30PM on Friday and Saturday, that dives into the music you’ll hear that evening! There is no assigned seating during the pre-concert talks.

This concert is dedicated to the memory of Rhoma Berlin by the Berlin Family.
