Songwriter Sessions, the songwriter series presented by Music Go Round and hosted by Jamie Ravine, continues with special guests Hawa, Luke Silvis, Jalyn Short, and Ravine. Jamie Ravine is an award-winning singer-songwriter and active music community leader in Columbus, Ohio, known for her emotional indie music, leading the “Green Room Meetup” for musicians, and hosting songwriter rounds. She’s released singles like “The Hunter,” “No Escape,” and “Not Alone,” along with the album Lights & Wire, and supports local music through events and collaborations. She is also working on a new concept album this year with Beatles and late 60’s psychedelic influences.
Hawa is a Columbus-based multi-instrumentalist, performer, and songwriter known for her high-energy dueling piano shows and genre-blending original music. A true one-woman band, she plays piano, guitar, drums, and bass, crafting soulful, groove-driven songs rooted in pop, rock, R&B, and indie influences. Whether engaging a crowd onstage or sharing her own heartfelt work, Hawa brings authenticity, joy, and musical versatility to every performance.
Luke Silvis is the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for Columbus-based band, Silvis. With an infectious indie rock ethos infused with pop sensibilities, Silvis has made a big impact on the local music scene with their 2025 debut album, “A Tendency to Seek Distraction”. Since its release, the band has been playing consistent local shows and is now touring regionally while expanding their audience.
Jalyn Short is a singer-songwriter from Gallia County, Ohio and currently attends OSU. She has performed at numerous venues and events across the tri-state area over the last 3 years and has become a crowd favorite.
