And we’re doing it again in 2024
Join us on the International Day of Peace, Saturday September 21st 2024 for this year’s annual gathering of Sound Healers as we hold The World’s Largest Sound Bath 2024 right here in Columbus, Ohio
This year we’re inviting even more sound healers and practitioners to join us (p.s. are you a sound healer and want to be involved? sign up here ) We’ll be holding our Fall Equinox market with local makers, artists, small businesses, and holistic vendors from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. (want to vend? sign up here ) At 6:15 there will be optional yoga on the grass with Mike Adams aka The Hope Dealer , former NFL player and meditation guide. (we encourage setting up in the lawn close to the stage for yoga) And then starting at 8:00 pm over 50 (and counting) sound healers will come together to hold The World’s Largest Sound Bath in concert with a band of sitar, cello, vocalists, piano, violin, and much more!
What makes it the largest sound bath? This event has the most sound practitioners coming together to hold a cohesive, harmonic sound bath experience than anywhere else in the world. It is truly impossible to describe the moment each sound healer starts playing together. It is a breath taking and healing experience. We hope you will be there with us!
A moment in mindfulness, intention, and rest for ourselves, for our neighbors, and for our city.
Our focus on the International Day of Peace each year is addressing the rise in violence, mental health, and loneliness. This is a time to come together as community and focus on the well-being of the city.
Studies have shown group meditations have an impact on reducing violent crime rates within metropolitan areas. We saw a decline following last years event and we want Columbus to be another case study of the impact that a community with intention can make on it’s well-being. Sound Baths have lasting benefits on mental health and creates a space to rest, process, and release stored emotion in the mind and body.
You don’t need to be an experienced to attend. You just have to be a living, breathing person with a heart willing to give an hour for yourself and for your neighbor. This experience is for everyone. Children are welcome.
And we want to address the loneliess pandemic by bringing people together, create a place where friends can be made and communities can gather. In a letter from the surgeoun general he stated:
“Loneliness is far more than just a bad feeling—it harms both individual and societal health. It is associated with a greater risk of cardiovascular disease, dementia, stroke, depression, anxiety, and premature death. The mortality impact of being socially disconnected is similar to that caused by smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day. And the harmful consequences of a society that lacks social connection can be felt in our schools, workplaces, and civic organizations, where performance, productivity, and engagement are diminished.”
Schedule:
Check-in at Rich st. Enterance / Explore the Fall Equinox vendors | 5:00 – 8 pm
Yoga with Mike Adams | 6:15 – 7:00 pm
Sound bath | 8 – 9:30 pm (And even more tba)

What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a relaxing and therapeutic listening experience where you are “bathed” in sound, much like a concert. This experience is usually done lying on a yoga/exercise mat while a sound practitioner plays a variety of instruments, typically singing bowls, chimes, and gongs.
Published studies have shown the benefits of sound baths to include a decrease in stress, an increase in relaxation, improved sleep, and more.
For our sound bath at the Columbus Commons we will have a full band of guitar, sitar, piano, violin, cello, vocals, and more in concert with over 50+ singing bowl practitioners moving throughout the park creating what we are calling an “ocean of harmony,” you won’t want to miss this experience.
