To create the illusion of the 3rd dimension an artist must understand how to see depth so that they can recreate it convincingly. By utilizing the horizon line, vanishing points, and the lessons in this workshop, the illusion of depth is created on a flat surface.

This workshop will guide you through the foundational education and drawing techniques that create the appearance of depth and scale from leveraging one and two point perspectives.

Participants are encouraged to bring up to five photographs with them that feature a building or still life as reference material.

Materials needed:

Pencils (HB, 2B)
Sketchbook (no smaller than 12″x 16″)
