If you’ve strolled through the Short North recently, you may have noticed a brand-new storefront gearing up for its grand opening. But what exactly is it?
Introducing 698 Asian Kitchen, a soon-to-open restaurant with a name that’s beginning to pop up. However, as of now, a quick Google search doesn’t yield much… no official website or social media presence (yet!).
So, let’s clear some things up.
698 Asian Kitchen is expected to open its doors later this month, and the team behind it is no stranger to the local food scene. The restaurant is owned by the same people behind The 1126 Restaurant, located just a few blocks up High Street, and Song Lan in Bridge Park.
While The 1126 and Song Lan are known for their sushi and Japanese cuisine, 698 Asian Kitchen will offer a broader, more eclectic mix of Asian fusion dishes (hence the name), with more emphasis on Chinese fare.
We’re already gearing up to check it out once it opens, so be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for an in-depth review as soon as the doors swing open!
