I still remember the day that my first grade class took a field trip to the fire station where we got to climb inside the fire trucks. When I sat in the driver’s seat behind the massive steering wheel I felt like I was driving 90 down the highway heading to a multi-alarm fire, when in reality we had never left the station. Life was so simple back then!
If you now have little ones of your own, I highly recommend taking them to a Touch A Truck event. For whatever reason, little kids absolutely love large, heavy machinery. And honestly, even as an adult, I find those things super interesting.
Then again, I’m basically just a large child. Oh well.
