If you’ve ever traveled up I-71 towards Cleveland, there’s a good chance you’ll recognize this spot.
Buckeye Express Diner in Bellville, OH was just ranked by Lovefood.com as the single best diner in all of Ohio.
Sure, the ambience is certainly going to get the diner more attention since, well, it’s inside of an abandoned steam train car. But the home-cooked meals that Buckeye Express churns out, including their fan-favorite burgers, are not to be messed with!
Now maybe this is just me, but if you own a diner and there isn’t anything unique or noteworthy about it (like, oh I don’t know, placing it inside of a vintage train car), you’re not living up to your full potential.
Buckeye Express Diner far exceeds this arbitrary requirement and then some. The inside is decked out with Ohio State memorabilia, TV’s, and the smell of delicious diner food on the grill.
If you’ve never stopped at Buckeye Express, next time you’re on I-71 north of Columbus, maybe switch tracks at the Bellville junction and grab yourself some good food and good memories.
