Picture this… it’s a warm day outside, maybe 4 PM, the sun is out, and you’re starting to get hungry and thirsty.

Instead of heading inside and missing out on the incredible summer weather in Ohio, stay outside and head over to one of these awesome patios around Central Ohio! Enjoy live music, food, drinks, or even just the breeze running through your hair.

I love a good patio, so there’s a good chance you see me at one of these places on a warm summer day. If you do, I’ll buy ya a drink!

1. JT’s Pizza & Pub

2390 W Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43235

Pizza, brews, live music, and good vibes? I would be here 7 days a week if they let me.

2. Grandview Cafe

1455 W 3rd Ave, Columbus, OH 43212

Grandview Cafe was one of the first places I went when I moved to Columbus in 2017, and since then its expansive two-story patio has been a staple in my rotation.

3. Gemüt Biergarten

734 Oak St, Columbus, OH 43205

This patio is like finding the personification of zen in an otherwise noisy and distracting world. The surrounding plants and trees allow for the perfect environment to unwind.

5. Understory

2571 Neil Ave, Columbus, OH 43202

Perhaps one of the most underrated patios in Columbus, Understory’s patio feels as if it was naturally formed alongside the environment that surrounds it.

6. Land-Grant Brewing Company

424 W Town St, Columbus, OH 43215

Unlike Understory, Land-Grant’s patio and event spaces are some of the most popular in Columbus, and for good reason. They always have super fun things to do, great beer, food trucks, and live music to keep you entertained all summer long.

171 N 4th St, Columbus, OH 43215

This brand-spankin’-new patio at Jackie O’s on Fourth is a double-decker behemoth that gives spectators great views of the city with an industrial feel that is totally representative of Columbus’ industrial past.
