The talk of the town is finally among us! I guess we’ll finally get to see what Pink Floyd meant when they kept singing about the Dark Side of the Moon.
If you haven’t made any plans for the solar eclipse yet, that’s ok. However, we recommend you make a plan as soon as possible even if you don’t plan on watching it (though you absolutely should), because this historic event is going to be heavily trafficked by eclipse-seekers from all over the globe.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you live east or south of Worthington, you will not experience the total eclipse (which is wayyyy different than a partial eclipse). If you want to see totality, make your travel plans now using this interactive eclipse map.
Here’s the timeline you should keep in mind:
- Partial solar eclipse begins around 1:55 PM
- Peak totality begins at approximately 3:10 PM
- Depending where you are, totality will last anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 minutes
- The partial solar eclipse ends at 4:27 PM
