As a former resident of Grandview Heights, this was the go-to spot for my sometimes unruly fried chicken cravings.
And because I lived so unhealthily close to the increasingly popular Crispy Coop (we’re talking a 1 minute walk), I quickly became a regular.
Then I moved to NYC for a job, but my fried chicken cravings were never satisfied by New York’s otherwise delicious restaurants. So, after just a year in New York, I moved back to Columbus so I could be closer to The Crispy Coop (and my family… and my boyfriend… but The Crispy Coop was the real reason behind the move ?).
They also had a location in Pickerington, but it mysteriously closed a while back with nothing but a peep. That was until recently when they announced that they are opening a new location in a different east-side suburb, Reynoldsburg.
“Well, Step Out Columbus, when does it open?” Great question, valued reader! If you’re reading this article anytime after April 18th, 2024, then they’re open. Don’t go another minute without their chicken. Seriously. It’s great.
Check it out at 6330 Tussing Road, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.
