Whether you’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day or just craving an amazing sandwich, there is nothing quite like a good Reuben sandwich. We’ve always said, the best things in life are the simple things, which is why Reubens are, as the kids say, GOATed (Greatest Of All Time). All it takes is some corned beef, swiss cheese, Russian dressing, and saukerkraut on rye bread to make one of the tastiest concoctions ever.
Columbus is home to plenty of great restaurants and delis, many of which have Reubens on their menu. But which one’s are the best? This extremely scientific list was created using algorithms and laser beams to help you find best Reubens in Central Ohio. You’re welcome.

Danny’s Delicious Deli
37 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43235
How good are Reubens at this deli? Here’s a hint: it’s in the name. Danny DELIcious’ Reuben sandwiches are truly to die for, coming in small, regular, and jumbo sizes depending on how much pride you take in eating a lot of food (I would order the jumbo). There are plenty of options available so if you are feeling pastrami or turkey over corned beef, more power to ya.
Katzinger’s Delicatessen
475 S 3rd St, Columbus, OH 43215 and 7160 Muirfield Dr, Dublin, OH 43017
Oh, so ya like Reubens, huh? Have you tried all of the Reubens at Katzinger’s yet? Ok, well, neither have I. It’s hard when they have EIGHT distinct Reubens on the menu and all of them look so good! With so many choices on the menu, you’re sure to find your new favorite Reuben on Katzinger’s menu.
Uptown Deli and Brew
41 N State St, Westerville, OH 43081
There is one thing I love doing every time I hit up Uptown Deli and Brew. DISCLAIMER: Reuben truthers, please don’t make fun of me. What I love doing is ordering the classic Reuben with a side of macaroni salad, and then adding the macaroni salad to the sandwich. Tell me that doesn’t sound incredible. If you don’t like it, just be sure to keep your opinions to yourself because I am fragile.
Cap City Fine Diner
At a restaurant such as Cap City with such a large menu full of deliciousness, sometimes the best dishes can go under the radar. I feel Cap City’s Reuben does exactly that. It’s stacked tall and proud, while the pulled corned beef rocks your world with flavor and juiciness. OOPS. I just drooled on my keyboard.
Cornerstone Deli and Cafe
3296 N High St, Columbus, OH 43202
Want breakfast? Head to Cornerstone. Want sushi? Head to Cornerstone. Want a great Reuben? Head to Cornerstone! This deli is truly a Jack of all trades, but their Reuben stands out as one of the best in the city. The interior is so quaint and cozy too, it puts you in the perfect mood to chow down.
Deli-Licious
141 N High St, Columbus, OH 43215
This spot is more of a hidden gem than anything else on this list, and if you know anything about us here at Step Out Columbus, you know we love a good hidden gem. Tucked away on High St. in the heart of downtown, this sandwich joint is in the old Deli Boys location. Their menu is full of incredible eats, but trust us, go for the Reuben.
The Old Mohawk
819 Mohawk St, Columbus, OH 43206
This longtime German Village eatery has been feeding locals and newcomers since 1933. What does that have to do with having a good Reuben, you might ask? Well, aside from longevity proving this spot is a multi-generational favorite, the traditional cuisine and vibe inside make this Reuben experience one for the books.
Scotty’s Cafe
2980 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43209
What do you do when you go to the 6th best independent restaurant in the United States according to Yelp reviews? You get the Reuben, of course! Why else would you even read this article? In all seriousness, Scotty’s is legit. Everything is made freshly in-house daily, and the friendly environment inside only adds to the incredible food Scotty’s whips up.
