Live music and good food are two of life’s greatest pleasures. But let’s be honest — at most music venues, the food is an afterthought, something you order out of pure hunger desperation (looking at you, suspiciously chewy venue nachos).
Not in Central Ohio.
Here, we have music venues that serve food so good, you’d show up just to eat. These places don’t just book incredible musicians and have great atmospheres, they also deliver a dining experience that rivals some of the best restaurants in the city.
Natalie’s Grandview
945 King Ave, Columbus, OH 43212
Natalie’s is, without a doubt, one of the most underrated music venues in the state. With two distinct stages offering completely different vibes, it’s already an incredible spot for live music. But then there’s the food — next-level delicious and worth a visit even if you don’t have a concert ticket.
Let’s talk about The Meatball, first. It’s a colossal, flavor-packed sphere of Ohio beef and pork, swimming in marinara and topped with Parmesan-Romano and fresh herbs, all served with slices of perfectly crusty sourdough.
Then there’s their pizza, a tribute to John’s of Bleecker in NYC. Thin, crispy, and packed with fresh ingredients, it’s easily one of the best in Columbus. Try the Greenwich Village (Italian sausage, roasted peppers, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and garlic) or the Ms. Jones (vodka sauce, ricotta, pepperoni, and hot honey). Oh, and the Chocolate Chips — not cookies, but actual potato chips dusted in Mexican hot chocolate spice and powdered sugar — are a must.

Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge
17 Buttles Ave, Columbus, OH 43215
Owned by James Beard Award semi-finalist BJ Lieberman (of Chapman’s Eat Market fame), Ginger Rabbit brings NYC jazz club vibes straight to Columbus. This intimate underground (literally) lounge hosts some of the best jazz musicians in town, and if you’re not careful, you might get too distracted by the food to notice.
The menu is pure sophistication. Whipped Feta with pistachios, honey, and pita is a perfect bite to start with. Their Lobster Roll, made with Maine lobster salad, mayo, and Old Bay, is a must-try for seafood lovers. Feeling adventurous? Octopus in Galician Sauce will transport your taste buds straight to Spain. This isn’t just bar food, it’s a fine dining experience set to a jazz soundtrack.

The Summit Music Hall (featuring Crunchwerks)
2210 Summit St, Columbus, OH 43201
The Summit is an underrated music venue, but Crunchwerks — the in-house kitchen — is what truly sets it apart. Their specialty? Crunchwraps that put Taco Bell to shame.
The OG Crunch is the masterpiece: house-seasoned ground beef, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, white jalapeño queso, romaine, sour cream, and crispy tostadas, all wrapped in a perfectly grilled flour tortilla. It’s crunchy, cheesy, and absolutely massive. If you want all the flavor without the carbs, they also serve their fillings in a bowl. Whether you’re moshing at a punk show or vibing with an indie set, this is the ultimate late-night concert food.

Bristol Republic
1124 N High St, Columbus, OH 43201
A Nashville-inspired bar in the heart of the Short North, Bristol Republic combines live music, rare whiskey, and competition-quality BBQ smoked in-house daily. They bring in both local and national artists every Thursday through Saturday, and if you love Southern food, this is your spot.
Their smoked meats are next level, from fall-off-the-bone ribs to juicy pulled pork. But what really makes them stand out? Their Southern Brunch, served Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM – 3 PM. Imagine digging into brisket hash or Nashville hot chicken & waffles while listening to live country or blues… It doesn’t get much better than that.

Final Note
Columbus’ live music scene is thriving, and these venues prove that you don’t have to sacrifice good food for a great show. Whether you’re in the mood for jazz, rock, country, or indie, you can find a spot where the dining experience is just as memorable as the music.
