Pictorial Tapestry is the art of hand-weaving colored fiber on a plain warp. Projects woven on a Tapestry Frame Loom to create recognizable images, artwork or landscapes. We will be weaving on small, portable copper pipe looms. The projects will be anywhere from 3”-7” wide. The projects can be woven with many different fiber types. We will learn the basics of Tapestry techniques and progress into more creative ‘Pictorial’ works. The first class will be an intro course, open to beginners and intermediate Tapestry Weavers. Students may wish to frame their weavings once complete.
