When you think of bowling alleys, the last thing that comes to mind is “delicious food.”
Sure, we all love a nice greasy pile of cheese fries and reheated bacon bits from time to time. But if you want something that’ll keep you coming back just for the food, look no further than these two bowling alleys.
No, this isn’t an April Fools joke. Hiding right in Ohio’s capital city are two bowling alleys where you could seriously make the argument that the food is the star of the show! Whether it’s unique burgers or just straight up delicious pizza and homemade cookies, these two Columbus bowling alleys are hiding food that’s worth the trip alone, even without the bowling.
Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl
📍 3224 S High St, Columbus, OH 43207
Wayne Webb’s not only has that fun 70s vibe with cosmic bowling, huge murals, and tons of lanes, it’s also home to Tristan’s Pizza and Wings. Tristan’s is named after the Webbs’ son, who sadly passed away while serving in the United States Air Force.
Tristan’s serves up everything from a great breakfast to one of the best Columbus-style pizzas you’ll find in the city. Their Deluxe pie is loaded with edge-to-edge toppings on a classic thin crust, square cut pie. Fair warning: you will forget it’s your turn to bowl because you’ll be too busy staring at the pizza in front of you.
They also have a few different crust choices depending on what you like:
- Original crust
- Gluten-free crust
- Low carb crust
- Broccoli & cauliflower crust
And if you’re looking for a deal, their Fried Pickle Chips are great bang for your buck — 20 pickle chips and ranch for just $7!

Columbus Square Bowling Palace | Burger Royale
📍 5707 Forest Hills Blvd, Columbus, OH 43231
This burger joint quietly operates out of the Columbus Square Bowling Palace, bringing legendary burgers to the already-legendary Bowling Palace.
These are not your normal bowling alley burgers. Their most famous is The Royale — based on the classic burger from Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. It comes with 2 patties, lettuce, tomato, and house 1000 island dressing.
But the burger that’s hard to stop ordering is The Big Kahuna, which is The Royale with Cheese plus BBQ sauce, jalapeños, grilled pineapple, and spam!! It’s beautifully salty and sweet… and the perfect way to distract yourself from the 3 straight gutter balls you just threw.
Plus, they have freshly baked chocolate chip cookies on hand every day!
