A&R Music Bar showcases the poster art and photography of some of the country’s most well known artists including wall to wall memorabilia from PromoWest concerts over the last 30 years. The bar is full service and features a huge outdoor patio and proudly serves Mikey’s Late Night Slice*. A&R Music Bar’s large outdoor patio offers an exclusive space to lounge before and after shows at KEMBA Live!. A&R Music Bar is also be used for live radio station broadcasts, band interviews, special appearances and meet & greets.
Located at 391 Neil Avenue in the entertainment neighborhood of the Arena District, A&R Music Bar is located above The Basement rock club and next to KEMBA Live!. The name A&R has 2 distinct meanings held closely and in high regard to PromoWest and the company’s long standing history. The first being Artist and Repertoire. This is the division responsible for talent scouting and artistic development. For over 30 years, PromoWest Productions has been developing bands by bringing new and exciting acts as well as the industry’s biggest names to Columbus, Ohio. Several notable bands such as Fall Out Boy, The Killers and O.A.R started out playing our smaller venues and eventually ended up selling out our largest facility, KEMBA Live! Outdoors.
The second part of the name is simple and straightforward, Art and Rock. This is who we are and what the A&R Music Bar represents. A&R Music Bar allows you the chance to relive some of the most memorable shows in Columbus, Ohio’s history, as well as catch a glimpse of the great things to come at each of our venues.
