Columbus beer drinkers… we did it! Our hard work has finally paid off. The 614 was just ranked in the Top 10 in a national poll of the best beer cities in the U.S. But where did we rank?
The short answer is very, VERY high. Before we get to our ranking, let’s backtrack how we got here.
In February, USA Today opened a nationwide poll, with input from a panel of experts, for people to vote on the best beer cities in the country.
In the first week of voting, Columbus barely cracked the top 10. But as the weeks rolled on, we climbed up to 5th place.
Then, at the end of February, voting was closed.
Last week, the results were released and, well, we aren’t surprised.
Columbus took home the bronze medal, placing 3rd behind Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Grand Rapids in that state up north, thanks to our awesome brewery district and blend of both nationally recognized beer brands and microbreweries.
