Prepare to hoist the Jolly Roger and set sail for the most anticipated event of the season! From May 15th to May 17th, 2026, the scenic shores of Buckeye Lake will transform into a legendary pirate haven for the annual Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest. Whether you are a seasoned buccaneer, a mystical mermaid, or a steampunk explorer, this three-day extravaganza offers high-seas adventure for the whole family.

Port Royal is at a  brand-new location: Big Stan’s in Thornville, Ohio. This serves as the official Pirate Headquarters where attendees can marvel at the Northern Exposure Landship, the world’s tallest Aarr-Vee vessel. Explore the sprawling Pirate and Renaissance Markets, featuring over 100 specialized vendor booths offering exotic treasures, handcrafted goods, and authentic pirate gear. For the younger crowd, the Pirates Cove Playland offers interactive activities and games.

The legendary Tri-County Treasure Hunt returns for 2026. Participants can grab an official map and navigate to a wide variety of adult and family-friendly stops across Licking, Perry, and Fairfield counties. This unique hunt allows you to collect bounty from local businesses by land or by sea, with stops accessible by boat, golf cart, car, or motorcycle. Enjoy live music, “Scurvy Dog” food specials, and themed refreshments. Dress in your finest seafaring attire for costume contests. Admission to the markets is free; there is a small fee for Market parking. Hours listed are for the Pirate Market.
