“When a corpse turns up with more questions than answers, I dig through its files for evidence. In this case what I found was less than ideal… and more than I’d bargained for.”
MadLab presents the penultimate production of its 30th Anniversary retrospective season, Memory Fragments by Sam Wallin. The show opens Thursday May 21 and runs through Saturday, June 6, with performances at 8pm. (All shows other than opening night are on Friday and Saturday nights.)
Memory Fragments is a twisty sci-fi murder mystery that starts with a fried hard drive and a warm body. When detective Jamie Cloud investigates, she unravels a web connecting artificial bodies, corporate intrigue, virtual reality, and one very real ghost in the machine. Can she piece the clues together before the system crashes?
For fans of Blade Runner, Altered Carbon, Minority Report and other darkly prescient imaginings, this dystopian thriller provides a glimpse into the future we’re programming now.
MadLab is located at 227 N. 3rd St., Columbus, OH 43215.
Tickets and info available at madlab.net. Tickets are $15—$20, with free parking available.
