This 3-day clay camp is designed to introduce kids ages 5–9 to the joy of working with clay through hands-on, age-appropriate projects in a supportive studio environment.
Campers will explore basic hand building techniques such as pinching, rolling, and simple slab building while creating fun, imaginative pieces like animals, cups, small sculptures, and tiles. Activities focus on creativity, sensory exploration, and building fine motor skills, with plenty of guidance and encouragement from instructors. Campers will experiment with texture, stamps, and simple surface decoration, and learn the basics of glazing and how their work is fired in the kiln.
No prior clay experience is needed. All materials, tools, firings, and instruction are included. Finished pieces will be ready for pick-up 10 to 14 days after camp ends.
We are hosting a variety of week-long camps throughout the summer for ages 5-17 – visit our website to learn more!
Each day includes a mix of guided projects and open studio time, allowing kids to explore ideas, play with clay, and work at their own pace. Camp runs for three days from 9:00am–12:00pm.
