New Comedy Venue Opens in Columbus
We’ve said it before, there’s nothing a good laugh can’t fix. With laughter being some of the best medicine, we’re elated to announce that this week Hashtag Comedy Company’s newest venue will have their long awaited grand opening! Be there or be square.
The Hashtag Comedy Company is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new brick-and-mortar comedy venue located at 1253 N High Street. This exciting development marks a significant milestone for The Hashtag Comedy Company, which has been providing comedy entertainment, classes, and corporate improv workshops in Columbus, Ohio, since 2012.
Their new space is set to provide a dedicated home for The Hashtag Comedy Company’s live improv performances, workshops, and expanded show offerings in sketch, standup, and more. With this move, the company aims to create a vibrant and inclusive hub for comedy enthusiasts, artists, producers, and patrons of the arts in Columbus.
“We couldn’t be more excited to open our doors at 1253 N High Street,” said Matthew White, one of the original co-founders of the company. “This venue will serve as a creative and dynamic space for talented comedy performers to showcase their craft, as well as a place for the community to come together and enjoy laughter, fun, and entertainment.”
The new location seats an intimate fifty to sixty audience members and offers a welcoming, fun vibe. “We wanted the space to reflect how our partner venues have made us feel over the years,” said Chris Heiberger, co-owner. “We want to return that feeling of warmth and fun to our audience members and talent.”
In addition to live performances, The Hashtag Comedy Company will continue to offer a range of comedy workshops and educational programs, providing aspiring comedians, corporate teams, and even folks simply looking for new experiences with the opportunity to develop their skills and explore the world of comedy through improv, sketch writing, improvised music, standup and more.
“With a brick-and-mortar home base, we hope to continue growing alongside the greater Columbus community,” shared Hannah Romes, co-owner. “We’re humbled by the opportunity to expand our offerings, including stand-up and alternative comedy. Columbus’s vibrant comedy scene has been a source of inspiration, and we’re honored to have our own venue be a part of it.”
The Hashtag Comedy Company invites the Columbus community to join them for their grand opening weekend, which will be held November 9th through 11th.
