If you’re the type who thinks Halloween should be a month-long celebration (same), then you’re gonna love this list. These streets around Columbus and Central Ohio don’t just decorate for Halloween… they transform into haunted wonderlands filled with glowing pumpkins, creepy lights, and enough spooky vibes to make the Addams Family proud.
Grab a pumpkin spice latte, hop in the car, and take a little nighttime drive, because these neighborhoods go all out for Halloween.
Guilford Road Lights (Upper Arlington)
📍2000 Block, Guilford Rd, Upper Arlington, OH 43221
You’ll know it when you see it. This block is home to Barry Wear, the mastermind behind one of the wildest, most eclectic Halloween (and holiday) light displays in the city.
I first stumbled upon it during a walk on my lunch break a few years ago, and I swear I stopped in my tracks. It’s like controlled chaos — lights, props, skeletons everywhere, and creepy mannequins everywhere you look, but somehow it all just works. Start at 2000 Guilford Rd and head west. You’ll see the glow from blocks away.

Sawmill Meadows Lights (Dublin)
📍2691 Sawmill Meadows Ave, Dublin, OH 43016
These lights are award-winning for a reason. The Sawmill Meadows Lights show is a full-blown synchronized display, complete with spooky tunes that play over your car radio (tune in to 98.5 FM when you arrive).
It’s not a whole street full of similar displays, but rather just one incredible house that steals the spotlight. The detail and effort packed into this one yard are totally worth the price of admission (it’s free).

Bryden Road in Olde Towne East (Columbus)
📍Start near 1277 Bryden Rd, Columbus, OH 43205
Bryden Road is the definition of Halloween spirit. Thanks to some spooky neighbors (and a few viral Reddit posts, shoutout to Alarmed-Can6363), this street has become the place to visit for trick-or-treat night in Columbus.
The old historic homes, the glowing jack-o’-lanterns, the fog machines… it’s pure magic. The closer it gets to Halloween, the busier it gets, so go early if you want to park and walk. It’s festive, it’s friendly, and it’s spooky in the best possible way.

Neil Avenue in Victorian Village (Columbus)
📍Start near 747 Neil Ave, Columbus, OH 43215
If you want to mix a little elegance with your eerie, head to Neil Avenue in Victorian Village. Start near Lucky’s Market and make your way north under the canopy of old trees.
The historic homes here are stunning any time of year, but when the leaves start turning and those purple and orange Halloween lights come out? It’s like stepping into a movie set. Bring your camera.
