Take the kunafa — a cheesy Middle Eastern dessert that is often overlooked thanks to the popularity of baklava (which, don’t get me wrong, is delicious in its own right). But there’s something about biting into a dessert with pistachio, phyllo dough, and cheese — getting that classic cheesy texture but with a sweetness to it — that is such a wonderfully jarring experience.
Yet along with their traditional treats and coffees, the most unique thing at Marib is the chocolate stuffed animals, and in particular, the Chocolate Bears.
What Are the Chocolate Bears at Marib Coffee Co.?
These bears have a chocolatey outside that has the texture of a stuffed animal. They almost look fluffy, but they are completely edible, and filled with crushed pistachios. The only reason you won’t shove one down your throat as fast as possible is because they’re so darn cute! You’ll feel bad eating the little bears, but each bite is so worth it.

Marib Coffee Co. is located in Westerville, Ohio, right off Schrock Road. And their hours are unlike just about every other coffee shop. Sure, they open at 7 AM, but they also stay open until midnight every single day. So there’s no excuse why you can’t go visit Marib and eat a few stuffed animals.
