This hands-on summer clay camp introduces kids ages 10–13 to the fundamentals of wheel throwing in a fun, supportive studio environment.
Over the course of the week, campers will learn how to prepare clay, center on the wheel, and throw basic forms such as bowls, cups, and small vessels, while building confidence and coordination at the wheel. Campers will also explore surface decoration techniques, including texture and simple glazing, and learn how finished pieces move through the kiln process.
Emphasis is placed on creativity, problem-solving, and learning through practice—no prior wheel experience is required. All materials, tools, firings, and instruction are included. Finished pieces will be ready for pick-up 10 to 14 days after camp ends.
Fridays are a relaxed, open-ended “Play With Clay” day, giving campers time to experiment, revisit favorite projects, and explore the clay freely with guidance from instructors. Camp runs from 9:00am-1:00pm Monday-Friday.
We are hosting a variety of camps for ages 5-17 throughout the summer. Visit our website to learn more!
