Commando takes a suggestions from the audience for each and every scene! Come out and get ready to shout them out! If you haven’t seen live improv before, or you have only seen shortform improv (Whose Line, Wild ‘n Out, etc), this is a great show to see to introduce you to the idea of longform improv.
Longform improv typically takes one suggestion at the top of the show that the ensemble will use as inspiration to inform their scenic choices. Shortform is typically an improvised scene with characters, then an added rule is added. For example, we see the start of a scene, then they continue the scene in an accent, then a movie genre.
Commando has a fresh scene each time (shortform style), but the scene is only inspired by a suggestions with no added rules (longform style). All around a great time for you and a friend or date!
