There are museum date nights where you quietly stare at things on a wall… and then there’s Prototype.

Prototype is not only a museum unlike any other in the world, but it’s a museum that’s unlike itself every single day.

It’s an adults-only, 30,000-square-foot space that is not only fully immersive and trippy, but it’s literally ALIVE. The museum itself evolves and changes, so it’s different every single time you go.

And at Prototype, you are more than just a viewer of the exhibits. You ARE the exhibit.

In fact, just by going to Prototype and interacting with the installations, you are joining an experiment that the museum learns from.

Trippy, right?

What Is Prototype in Columbus, Ohio?

Known as a supersensory experience, Prototype is literally designed for curious people to tell their stories in unique ways and unlock the potential of the museum itself.

Instead of walking through static exhibits, Prototype reacts, shifts, and changes based on the people inside of it.

So yes… technically, the museum is learning from you and your date while you’re staring into a giant eyeball. You know, just normal museum stuff.

What You’ll Experience at Prototype

Whether it’s staring directly into a giant eyeball or controlling thousands of floating orbs to emulate a school of fish, you’ll leave Prototype feeling more connected to your partner, grounded to the Earth, and totally mindblown.

You know the saying “I wish I could experience [insert cool thing here] for the first time again”? Prototype makes that dream a reality. Because the museum learns from you and constantly evolves, no two visits are exactly the same, which honestly makes this one of the most unique date nights in Columbus right now.
