“Sir Duke,” “Isn’t She Lovely,” “I Wish,” “As,” the Blind Boys of Alabama bring these songs to the Scioto Mile this summer, reimagined through the gospel sound that’s been moving people for over 75 years. Songs in the Key of Life: A Celebration of Stevie Wonder marks the 50th anniversary of one of the greatest albums ever recorded. The Blind Boys aren’t just covering it. They’re transforming every note with sacred soul, turning familiar melodies into something that hits differently when six-time GRAMMY® winners are behind the microphone.

Blind Boys are recognized worldwide as true living legends of Gospel music. Since the beginning at the Alabama School for the Negro Blind in the late 1930s, the band has persevered through seven decades to become one of the most recognized and decorated roots music groups in the world. Celebrated by The GRAMMY® Foundation, The National Endowment for the Arts and Americana Music Association with Lifetime Achievement Awards, inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and winners of six GRAMMY® Awards, they have attained the highest levels of recognition.

Enjoy free live music on select evenings this summer at the Scioto Mile Concert Series, presented by Columbus Recreation and Parks. Each show takes place at Bicentennial Park along the Scioto Mile, with performances starting at 7 p.m., plus food trucks and a bar will be available. This concert is produced in partnership with CAPA.
