The ultimate adventure-seeking, birdwatching, and view-finding trail is finally here! Blacklick Woods Metro Park in Reynoldsburg is set to unveil their brand new, $1.5 million canopy walk this spring, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

This ain’t your everyday Metro Park trail… The new catwalk at Blacklick Woods is suspended 35 feet in the air, allowing park-goers to get up close and personal with birds, squirrels, raccoons, owls (see picture below), and whatever else wants to call the tree canopy home.

We know what you’re thinking: “So it’s just a boardwalk that’s elevated off the ground? Big whoop!”

You’re grossly underestimating the size of its whoop. While, yes, it is similar to a boardwalk, how many boardwalks also have a cargo net hammock (yes, suspended several stories in the air), a 55-foot observation tower, and a firefighter’s pole to slide down? The answer: none, obviously!

This catwalk is a game changer for the park and is sure to attract tons of visitors to the park, both locally and nationally.

This canopy walk is also fully accessible to all thanks to an elevator tower with a smaller observation deck, as well as stairs for those able to climb several flights of stairs.

Are you as excited to check it out as we are?
