Goood Friends at Jackie O’s On Fourth had their grand opening on August 25th and we got there as soon as we could to give their menu a taste-test. Fried chicken sandwiches and burgers have been done before and not everyone does it right. Lucky for us, the lovely people at Goood Friends said, “hold my beer,” and gave Columbus some of the best fried chicken sandwiches and burgers we’ve ever had.
Seriously, were the masterminds behind Goood Friends’ menu sent from above, or are they just culinary geniuses? I guess we’ll never know, but one thing we DO know for sure is that we will be returning to Good Friends often.

When you walk into Jackie O’s, you’ll scan Goood Friends’ QR code and that will pull up their menu. Everything is done online, so after you place your order you’ll get a text alerting you that your heavenly meal is ready. There’s a little pick-up window on the back patio (ground floor) where you’ll find your food – you can’t miss it.
We ordered the Ol’ Faithful which has spicy chicken, le delice de bourgogne, classy sauce, spicy pickles, mike’s hot honey, and comes on a delicious telera roll. The sauce and hot honey mixture make for a perfectly balanced, sweet and spicy bite. The chicken was crispy, hot, and packed with flavor. We also tried the Juicy Jackie burger which has mushroom blended beef, American cheese, griddled and crispy onions, goood sauce, dill pickles, and it also comes on a telera roll. The burger was insanely goood as well, and the crispy onions added a crunch-factor that’s got us daydreaming.

When it came to sides, we had a hard time making a selection since everything was so incredibly tempting. After some time, we landed on the Loaded Corn. It was almost like eating corn on the cob but in smaller, bite-sized pieces which was fun.
Goood Friends and Jackie O’s together are a true powerhouse, especially considering the setting which is unmatched. During the warmer months, Jackie O’s outdoor patio with an upper and lower level are superb. With an outdoor bar on the upper patio (in addition to Jackie O’s two other bars), you’re never far from brews. When it starts to get chilly out, there’s plenty of space inside. Take your pick from the upstairs or downstairs, and munch on something delicious from Goood Friends.

The flavors of each food item paired beautifully with our beer from Jackie O’s, and we’re looking forward to trying more from the menu at Goood Friends. To the people at Goood Friends – pretty sure we’re going to be goood friends.
