An Evening with Singer Songwriter Bryan Kennedy – Songs & Stories, benefitting the Heather Pick Music Program.
Garth Brooks’ long time tour manager and song co-writer Bryan Kennedy is a veteran Nashville songwriter, solo performer, and author whose career spans decades of songwriting, touring, and storytelling. Bryan often opened up for Garth on his tours and was tour manager for the Dive Bar Tour with Blake Shelton and Garth. So yes, he’s got some stories to tell.
Many of Bryan’s songs have been recorded by Garth Brooks, and he grew up a musical family. His father Jerry Kennedy, is a Musicians Hall of Fame producer with six Grammy Awards, and his brother Gordon Kennedy is a Grammy-winning songwriter and touring artist.
This is more than a bar show. It’s an evening built for listening.
Bryan is a prolific country music songwriter and performer, famous for co-writing major hits for Garth Brooks, including #1 “The Beaches of Cheyenne”, #1 “The American Honky Tonk Bar Association”, #1 “Good Ride Cowboy,” and #8 “Dive Bar” with Brooks and Blake Shelton. His other Garth Brooks cuts include “Rodeo or Juliet” as well as “Cowboy Cadillac” “The Old Stuff”, “Rodeo or Mexico”, “Meet Me in Love”, “Cowgirls Saddle”, and “The Fever”. In addition, Bryan served as the opening act for Garth Brooks performing in front of over five million people through the years.
Bryan blends his original songs with “true stories” — funny, clever, and just believable enough to work. It’s an evening of music, laughter, and heartfelt storytelling that feels personal, honest, and unforgettable. Bryan also is a known life coach, storyteller, book author and established playwright.
Don’t miss this opportunity to spend an evening with Garth Brooks’ right hand man, and help benefit a great cause, The Heather Pick Music Program at The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
The Heather Pick Music Program presents regular live musical performances featuring a diverse offering of musical styles and genres. The mission of the program is to use music as a means to create a healing environment and reduce discomfort, stress and anxiety for those affected by a cancer diagnosis. Patients, caregivers, staff and visitors can enjoy the performances throughout the week, which take place in The James lobby.
