If there’s one thing that I absolutely love about Columbus, it’s the fact that there are always new and exciting restaurants coming to town.

We know, it can be overwhelmingly difficult to keep up with all the new joints opening up. That’s why we narrowed down our favorite new spots that have opened up this year.

These aren’t the only great new restaurants that have opened this year, so if we’ve glaringly missed one, please let us know by clicking the link below!

Did we miss one? Did one of these places close? Send us a note!

1. Warios Beef & Pork – Clintonville

4219 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214

The day they announced that I can now get my favorite sandwiches in the world in TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS was, legitimately, the best day of my life. I absolutely love Warios so much, and this location really hits and improves upon the best parts of the Arena District location. It’s more accessible from a parking perspective and has more indoor seating, yet still has the same intimate vibes as their downtown counterpart. The food is just as good as their original location, plus they run different specials at both locations, so now I can double up on sandwiches every weekend!

2. Jenny’s Diner

4768 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214

If you know me, you know I love a good, hearty diner. Somewhere you can joke around with the wait staff while scarfing down some eggs. The thing I love about Jenny’s Diner specifically is that there is a specific quality to the food that is perfectly consistent every time you go, it’s almost like that comfort TV show you always put on even though you’ve seen it 200 times. So there ya have it, Jenny’s Diner is like The Office of restaurants. You’re welcome.

3. Sexton’s Burger Bar

921 E Johnstown Rd, Columbus, OH 43230

Sexton’s has had a grip on me ever since I first tried their pizza last year. As a former New York resident, it’s hard for me to be impressed by pizza these days. But Sexton’s exceeded my expectations. That’s why when they opened their Burger Bar, I just knew I had to try it. It quickly rose to the top of my list of my favorite burgers in the city, so essentially, Sextons has a stranglehold on my food intake at this point. If you’re a smash burger person, Sexton’s is the place to go – full stop.

4. Habibi Grill

1131 N 4th St, Columbus, OH 43201

If Middle Eastern cuisine is your game, Habibi Grill is the name (I tried writing a cool sounding sentence… not sure if I accomplished that). Regardless, Habibi Grill is some of the tastiest and most authentic Lebanese cuisine I’ve had anywhere. Not just Columbus… ANYWHERE. The wealth of flavors happening in each item, whether it’s the rice, the chicken, or the hummus, is mind-blowing. And, like Jenny’s Diner, it’s always so consistent. I’ve never had a bad meal at Habibi Grill. I might just go again tonight!
