Columbus’ food scene is so interesting. We have our staples, we have our hidden gems, yet there are always new restaurants that open and take our breaths away. It just goes to show that there’s something really special about Columbus cuisine and the talented chefs that call this place home.

While there are plenty more restaurants we could’ve included on this list, these ones caught the attention of our eyes (and our stomachs). Whether you like low key eateries or luxurious Korean BBQ joints, these are the spots you have to hit this spring.

Did we miss one? Did one of these places close? Send us a note!

Victor’s Tacos

2110 Morse Rd, Columbus, OH 43229

If you’ve been craving homemade, family-owned Mexican fare, you’re in luck. Victor’s Tacos serves up tostadas, burritos, tacos, omelets, quesadillas, and much more at incredible prices. No frills. No luxury. Just excellent Mexican cuisine.

Habibi Cafe & Sweets

6520 Hayden Run Rd, Hilliard, OH 43026

Have you ever seen such a beautiful crepe before? If you have, then you must’ve already been to Habibi Cafe & Sweets. Their selection of crepes, waffles, milkshakes, tea, and Turkish coffee will warm your heart and leave you wanting more. Trust us, it’s all fan-damn-tastic!

Dough Boyz Pizza

207 W Johnstown Rd, Columbus, OH 43230

This Galloway staple opened their second location in the same spot the legendary Mr. T’s Eatery used to occupy. Get your fix of pizza, subs, pasta, and wings here. If you’re really feeling hungry, try the famous Day’s Pepperoni Bomber, which is a pizza that looks like a nearby pepperoni factory exploded and rained down pepperoni on their pizza dough. What we’re saying is there’s a lot of pepperoni on it and it’s delicious.

Wario’s Beef & Pork – Clintonville

4219 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214

The pride and joy of the Arena District (sorry, Blue Jackets) has opening a new location just a few miles north on High St. in Clintonville. Both locations offer different surprise specials on different days, so be sure to stay tuned to their Instagram to decide which one you’ll be checking out. Or be like me and just blindly point at anything on the menu (it’s all good).

PJ Hot Pot

Offering delicious Korean BBQ, PJ Hot Pot is more than just a new restaurant serving up delicious international cuisine. It’s a unique dining experience thanks to the gorgeous (and massive) interior and the ability to cook your food to your liking thanks to the hot pot. This spot was highly anticipated and yet still exceeds expectations.

Jenny’s Diner

4768 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214

Aside from serving incredible diner food, Jenny’s Diner will transport you back to the 50s with their eclectic and vibrant interior. The long countertops, booths, and flashes of color everywhere would easily be the star of the show if it weren’t for the hearty breakfast Jenny’s kitchen slings out. I can’t think of a better place I’d rather be on a sunny, rainy, cloudy, or snowy morning. It’s perfect for anything and everything.
