There’s a lot of division in our world today, but there’s something we can all agree on:

The greatest foods in the world are as follows: 1a. Sandwiches, 1b. Sushi.

And at Oshio on 5th Avenue in Grandview, they combine both to create one of the greatest menu items you’ll find at a restaurant… the Sushi Panini.

The Sushi Panini at Oshio in Grandview

No, it’s not just a sushi roll shoved between two slices of Wonderbread. The Sushi Paninis at Oshio in Grandview start with Panko fried rice patties, which serve as the crispy “bread” in this wonderful concoction.

Then, they pile on avocado, seaweed, and your choice of spicy tuna, spicy salmon, spicy crab, or just plain ol’ vegetable.

I stand firm on salmon being the best fish in the world, so I went with the spicy salmon. I literally can’t get enough of it.

Even surrounded by their incredible sushi rolls, when the sushi paninis arrive at your table, all bets are off. You won’t be able to stop yourself from diving face first into these crunchy sushi sandwiches.

And if you dip them in Oshio’s special soy sauce mixture? Your taste buds will be dancing all the way home.
